What is the lifespan?
Our sails and structures are installed to live well beyond its warranty by a long shot. Some sails have been known to last up to 18 years!
What is the Cloth Warranty?
Depending on what material you decide to use, most fabrics have a 10 year manufactures warranty and the stitching we use also has the 10 year warranty.
When will the sail need a re-tension?
About 6 months after the shade sail is installed it is recommended that a re-tension and check up take place.
When will my shade sails need a Clean/repair/maintenance?
Repair and maintenance is done when the sail needs it. Cleaning can be done as needed/desired. Keeping in mind darker colours (black, charcoal, navy) require less maintenance and shows less dirt.
How deep do you dig your holes?
We dig our holes between 1000-1200mm up to 2000mm deep depending on size of sail and job.
Do you locate underground services?
Essentially it isn’t our responsibility to locate underground services, in the occasion where power, water, sewer may be in the path, we dig these holes by hand. As there are no second chances with a machine as you cannot see/feel what is coming up in the hole.
Why are the posts on a lean?
The load of a shade sail is not up and down like a deck or fence post. The load is constantly pulling on the posts, this is also why the posts are so deep.
How much shade will the shade sail provide?
All of our shade sails have at least 95 percent UV protection but also depending on the design.
Are the Shade Sails waterproof?
Essentially, no they are not, however waterproof options are available. But normal shade sails will keep water and moisture out to an extent. Example, Mist will come through the sail if it is raining very heavily, but water will run off to the lowest point.
